On July 3, the first single pile of the Yuedian Zhanjiang Wailuo Offshore Wind Power Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Wailuo Project"), which was contracted by China Energy Engineering Guangdong Institute, was successfully inserted, marking the official start of the construction of the main offshore works of the Wailuo Project and the official start of the offshore scale implementation of Guangdong offshore wind power construction.
It is reported that the Wailuo project is located in Xinliao Island, Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, and the offshore area to the east of Wailuo. It is the first offshore wind power project constructed by EPC in China. The total installed capacity of the project is 200 megawatts. After completion, the annual on grid power will exceed 500 million kilowatt hours, saving about 170000 tons of coal consumption, reducing about 350000 tons of carbon dioxide and 280 tons of sulfur dioxide annually. It is of positive significance to promote energy conservation and emission reduction, and optimize and adjust the source structure. The opinion of this article only represents the author himself.
