On November 16, the daily crude oil output of the Missan oilfield group in Iraq, operated and served by CNOOC Iraq, a subsidiary of CNOOC Group, exceeded 300000 barrels (about 45000 tons) for the first time, reaching the peak output of the oilfield, which is of great significance for promoting the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" energy cooperation between China and Iraq and assisting the development of Iraq's oil industry.
The Missan oil field is a large 100 million ton oil field, located in the southeast of Iraq, adjacent to the Iranian border, 350 kilometers away from the capital Baghdad. In 2010, CNOOC and Turkish National Petroleum Corporation signed a 20-year technical service contract for Missan oilfield group with Iraq.
