The two heads of state spoke highly of the substantial development of China Serbia relations in recent years, and agreed to continue to work together to promote cooperation between the two countries in various fields to achieve more results and create a better tomorrow for China Serbia relations.
Xi Jinping first thanked the Senegalese government and people for their warm reception and warm welcome, which fully reflected that China Senegal friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Xi Jinping pointed out that in 2016, Mr. President and I jointly established the positioning of a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries. With the joint efforts of both sides, China Serbia relations have entered a fast lane of development, political mutual trust has been deepening, and economic and trade cooperation is real. China is willing to work with Serbia to promote bilateral relations and cooperation to a higher level and bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Xi Jinping stressed that I appreciate the President's view of China Serbia relations from a strategic perspective, his positive response to the "Belt and Road" initiative and his strong support for China Africa cooperation. The two sides should maintain close high-level exchanges and support each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns. To strengthen the docking of development strategies and policy communication, we welcome Senegal to become the first West African country to sign the "Belt and Road" cooperation document with China. We hope to take this opportunity to comprehensively improve the level of China Serbia cooperation. China is willing to continue to adhere to the concept of "giving people the opportunity to fish", expand and deepen cooperation with Serbia, and enhance Serbia's independent development capacity. We should strengthen people to people and cultural exchanges and promote people to people connectivity. To strengthen law enforcement and security cooperation, China supports Serbia in strengthening counter-terrorism, peacekeeping and stability maintenance capacity building. China supports Serbia to play a greater role in international and regional affairs, and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Serbia in major international and regional affairs such as peace and security in Africa, United Nations affairs, climate change, and safeguard the common interests of Africa and developing countries.

Both sides are sincere partners on the path of development and natural allies in international affairs. China's development will bring more opportunities to Africa, and Africa's development will also add impetus to China's development. China will continue to adhere to the policy concept of truth, affinity and sincerity towards Africa and the correct concept of justice and interests, promote the construction of a closer China Africa community of shared future, and achieve win-win cooperation and common development between China and Africa. In September this year, we will welcome the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation.
