"Heroes, we have come to see you!" During the Tomb Sweeping Day, in the First Cemetery Area of the Martyrs Cemetery in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, uniformed staff and student representatives in school uniforms placed their chrysanthemums in front of the tombstone of the unknown martyrs, and then carefully wiped the dust on the tombstone with towels. This is a shot of the city carrying out the activities of the unknown martyrs to visit their relatives.

"The Lanzhou Campaign 75 years ago was the largest and fiercest urban battle in the Northwest Liberation War. In this key battle, many young soldiers spilled their blood on the battlefield. This martyr cemetery was built for them." The staff said that the cemetery buried the loyalty of 1533 martyrs in the Lanzhou Campaign, 474 of whom did not leave their names. In order to express the memory of Lanzhou people for the martyrs, since last year, the city has carried out the activities of visiting the relatives of unknown martyrs, calling on all levels to recognize the unknown martyrs who died in the Lanzhou campaign in the name of units and party (regiment) organizations, and regularly organize the activities of visiting and commemorating the martyrs, to further remember the revolutionary martyrs and inherit the red gene.

It is understood that on the eve of the Tomb Sweeping Day this year, more than 70 representatives of the party and government organs, enterprises and public institutions who have become relatives with the unknown martyrs have come to the martyrs' cemetery on their own initiative to "visit" their relatives by wiping the gravestones for the martyrs, presenting flowers, writing missing letters and other ways, so that the unknown martyrs will no longer be lonely.

The land of Jincheng in early April is full of spring. In front of rows of martyrs' tombstones, bouquets of flowers and blessing cards add some warmth to the martyrs' cemetery. "When I first came to the Martyrs Cemetery, I didn't know the name of the martyrs we knew our relatives, but only the number of the martyrs' tombstone was 19490826012. From the moment we knew our relatives, it was no longer a series of lonely numbers, but our missing relatives." A staff member of Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau said enthusiastically.

The Lanzhou Martyrs Cemetery also joined hands with the Lanzhou Campaign Memorial Hall to launch free signature flags, on-site red story telling, and teaching and singing red songs and other activities in this year's wedding ceremony, to further enhance the visitors' sense of participation and experience, and create a strong atmosphere of respecting heroes, defending heroes, learning heroes, and caring heroes.

"Thousands of eyes are looking at Shen Jialing, and thousands of cannons are roaring at the bandits..." Following the bursts of singing, the author came to the central square of the martyrs cemetery, only to see the interpreter teaching everyone the red song "Song of Shen Jialing Battle". Wang Nana, a teacher who participated in the activity, expressed her feelings: "When I heard the inspiring lyrics and passionate melody, I deeply felt the intensity of the Lanzhou campaign. As a native of Lanzhou, we will never forget the sacrifice of the revolutionary martyrs."

The leaders of Lanzhou City said that in the next step, they will continue to carry out the activities of visiting the relatives of the unknown martyrs, call on more citizens to become relatives of the unknown martyrs, and ensure that flowers are always there, tombstones are always bright, and memories are always in front of the tomb of the unknown martyrs.
