Yan Jihong was elected Mayor of Baoding Municipal People's Government, and Zhang Guibao, Zheng Jianjun, Yang Weikun, Wang Jianfeng, Dong Mingdyspi and Shan Yougao were elected Vice Mayor of Baoding Municipal People's Government.

After being elected mayor of Baoding, Yan Jihong, on behalf of the members of the new municipal government team, said that only the people and the times can live up to. The 12th Municipal Party Congress sounded the "14th Five Year Plan" and created a new horn in Baoding. The leadership of the new government will seize the day and night, work tirelessly, spare no effort, fulfill their duties, and strive to show new achievements and create a new situation in the new journey of building a modern city of quality life.

Yan Jihong pointed out in the government work report that the main line of all work in the next five years is to forge ahead with passion and create a new Baoding during the "14th Five Year Plan". In the next five years, we will focus on the ten major improvement projects of "quality city, transportation system, innovation drive, industrial transfer, beautiful countryside, quality service, quality culture, green low-carbon, business environment, and happy life" to improve the city's new appearance and build a modern new Baoding. In 2021, we will focus on economic operation, coordinated development, innovation driven, urban transformation, rural revitalization, ecological governance, reform and opening up, ensuring people's livelihood, and risk prevention and control.

According to Li Shuangxi, director of the Standing Committee of Baoding Municipal People's Congress, the 15th National People's Congress of Baoding held 34 meetings of the Standing Committee, formulated 9 local regulations, and made new progress and achievements in various work. The Standing Committee of the Sixteenth Municipal People's Congress will effectively enhance the effectiveness of supervision, strengthen the responsibility of deputies to perform their duties, provide strong legal protection, temper the cadres' excellent style, and innovate to do a good job in the work of the People's Congress in the new era.
