With the popularization of computers, blood and urine have entered the era of instrument inspection. As long as medical personnel send the processed blood and urine samples into the detection instrument, the computer will report the test results in a few minutes. However, most of them are printed with English abbreviations, which are not easy to understand. The main items of routine urine examination are as follows:
NIT It represents the nitrite in urine, and its content is often related to the type of food and cold weather. If the content often exceeds the normal value, it often indicates the possibility of urinary calculi or urinary tract infection.
PH stands for pH value. Normal urination is slightly acidic. If it is too acidic or too alkaline, it indicates abnormality.
GLU represents sugar, and normal urine sugar is negative.
PRO represents protein, and normal urine protein is negative.
KET stands for ketone body. Hunger, diabetes and ketoacidosis are often positive.
LEU represents white blood cell, which is negative in normal condition. Leukocytes in urine are increased, which can be seen in the infection of urinary system and adjacent organs. Acute glomerulonephritis can cause short-term leucocyte hematuria.
SG represents the specific gravity of urine. When it increases, it can be seen in high fever, dehydration, cardiac insufficiency, peripheral circulatory failure and diabetes. When it decreases, it indicates chronic glomerulonephritis and pyelonephritis.
ERY represents urine cells, which is negative in normal cases. If positive, it can indicate acute glomerulonephritis, chronic nephritis, renal tract infection or urinary tract tumor.
UBG Represents urobilinogen, and the normal result is negative or weakly positive; In the early stage of viral hepatitis, urinary bilinogen increased, hemolytic jaundice may be positive or strongly positive, and obstructive jaundice may be negative.
