Scientific research achievements

  • Overview of scientific research
On the basis of preparing soluble polymer by doping polyaniline with organic proton acid, Cao Yong proposed the concept of "anionic induced processability", which solved the problem that the high conductivity of conductive polymer is incompatible with its processability. His research results have been applied in practice. In addition, we have successfully developed a flexible plastic chip based light-emitting diode, which makes the quantum efficiency of aluminum cathode LEDs reach or even exceed that of calcium cathode devices. It is reported for the first time in the world that the ratio of electroluminescence to photoluminescence can be as high as 50%, indicating that the formation rate of singlet state can exceed the recognized concept of 25%. A new way to significantly improve the luminescence efficiency of polymers is proposed [1]
  • Academic treatise
As of May 2018, Cao Yong has successively published more than 600 SCI papers on photoelectric polymer materials and device research, and he cited more than 20000 times [3] He was also included in the "Highly Cited Researchers 2015" list of highly cited scientists in 2015 [6]
  • Undertake projects
