The theme of this class is "Model of Hundreds of Generations - Appreciation of the Art of Li Cheng, a landscape painter in Song Dynasty". The guest speaker is Lin Haizhong, a professor and doctoral supervisor of China Academy of Fine Arts. It can be said that the landscape painting of the Song Dynasty has created a perfect chapter of Chinese landscape painting, among which Li Cheng is a landscape painting giant who can be called "a model for hundreds of generations".

There are "three outlooks" in Chinese landscape painting: lofty, profound, and plain. Professor Lin Haizhong said, "The plain style is the highest." Li Chengduo painted the plain and cold forest. His paintings are clear and smoke, which has had an important impact on the development of Chinese landscape painting. Few people can learn all the charm of Li Cheng. However, Li Chengren is the existence of "the dragon sees its tail but not its head" in the history of Chinese painting. His works have been handed down to this day, and there are almost no authentic works, which can only be seen from the works handed down by later generations, such as Fan Kuan and Guo Xi.

As Mr. Lin Haizhong mentioned in this lesson, "In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were many scenes depicting mountains and waters, and the creation of the painting boundary reached a peak stage of Chinese landscape painting. We go to pursue the creative atmosphere of the Song Dynasty, which is of significance to contemporary people. We should learn to master it, and create a new realm of our times." Tracing back to the past, tracing back to the present, and inheriting the landscape civilization, It is also the significance of the times.

In this class, Professor Lin Haizhong unveils the mysterious veil of Li Cheng, the "master of hundreds of generations". He traces Li Cheng's style and features under such unprecedented landscape paintings as "Traveling in the Mountains and Streams", "Traveling in the Plains of Qiao Song", "Early Spring", "Riding on Donkeys in the Cold Forest", "Painting of Mountains and Mountains in the Far Forest", and learns the artistic inheritance of these handed down works, and understands the feelings of scholars, natural scenery It is a wonderful landscape art that integrates the realm of painting with the times.
