General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the development of museums, often "clocking in" museums: "A museum is a big school" "When I visit a place, I always take time to walk around and see the museum, so as to better understand the historical and cultural evolution of a place."
Museums are important places to protect and inherit human civilization. Among countless historical relics, we use material evidence and material interpretation of history to understand the past and present life of ancient civilizations and find the answer to "why China"; We use the historical wisdom to refine the backbone of the Chinese people and find the root of "why we are".
On July 26, 2023, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the Sanxingdui Museum in Deyang City, Sichuan Province, to learn about the excavation and research of local historical and cultural sites, the protection and restoration of cultural relics, etc.

On July 15, 2019, General Secretary Xi Jinping held a cordial conversation with the inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage of the classical national epic Gesar in the Chifeng Museum.
