The reporter learned from China National Railway Corporation that from January to April this year, China Europe Express A total of 6184 trains were opened, and 675000 TEUs of goods were delivered, up 10% and 11% year on year respectively. By the end of April 2024, more than 89000 China EU trains have been operated, reaching 223 cities in 25 European countries.

The head of the freight department of China Railway Group said that since this year, China Railway Group has continued to promote the high-quality development of China Europe regular trains.

　　 First, the channel capacity continues to expand. We continued to carry out the transportation test of the China Europe Express Xi'an, Chongqing, Yiwu Poti, Georgia, and Istanbul South Passage, Turkey, and successfully launched the China Europe Express across the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea from Urumqi, Xinjiang to Naples, Italy. The transportation organization of the China Europe Express South Passage has become increasingly mature. From January to April, 12 China Europe Express trains were operated on the South Passage, an increase of 71% year on year.

　　 Second, the transport efficiency has been continuously enhanced. Strengthen cooperation with the railway departments of surrounding countries, optimize the cross-border transport organization of China Europe regular trains, reasonably match the domestic and foreign train marshalling methods, improve the transport efficiency of China Europe regular trains, and save transport costs. Actively develop European return high value-added goods and promote two-way balanced transportation. We strengthened communication and coordination with customs, border inspection and other departments, actively promoted the rapid customs clearance mode of railway, coordinated overseas railway enterprises to increase the efforts to pick up and change trains, improved the port transportation efficiency and customs clearance facilitation level, and the port traffic volume of the West (Alashankou, Khorgos), Middle (Erlian), and East (Manzhouli, Suifenhe, Tongjiangbei) roads increased by 11%, 14%, and 7% respectively year on year.

Five China Europe trains with full time schedules between Xi'an and Duisburg, Germany, Chengdu and Lodz, Poland will be operated steadily every week. The customer service center of China Europe Express is open to accepting customer needs, and provides services such as waybill acceptance, cargo tracking, information consultation, etc. for customers at home and abroad. Optimize the layout of overseas return points of railway boxes, increase 16 overseas return points, and better meet customers' demand for diversified overseas return boxes.

The person in charge said that the China EU regular train continued to operate in a stable and high-quality manner, which ensured the stability and smoothness of the international supply chain and strongly promoted the connectivity between China and Europe.

Open up new channels and continuously improve the transport capacity of China Europe regular trains

Accelerating the high-quality development of China EU regular trains is one of the eight actions to jointly build the "Belt and Road" with high quality. Since the beginning of this year, China EU trains have been constantly opening new channels, optimizing customs clearance mode, improving the quality of operation, and providing stable and efficient transport channels for China EU trade.

Jixi Station, Shandong's largest railway hub freight station, has operated 505 China Europe trains in the first four months of this year, an increase of 8.9% over the same period last year, with an average of 4.2 trains departing every day. The domestic channels continue to be encrypted, while the overseas channels continue to expand, and the Trans Caspian Sea and Black Sea China Europe Train from Urumqi, Xinjiang to Naples, Italy has been successfully launched. From January to April, 12 China Europe regular trains were operated through the South Passage, up 71% year on year.

While the channel is expanded, the efficiency is constantly enhanced. China Europe regular train ports should strengthen cooperation with railway departments of neighboring countries to optimize cross-border transport organization. From January to April, the traffic volume of the three major channel ports in the West, Central and East increased by 11%, 14% and 7% respectively year on year. Alataw Pass Station and the Kazakh railway department have established a traffic flow forecasting mechanism to facilitate rapid customs clearance.

The operation quality of China Europe regular trains has been continuously improved. In the first four months, five China Europe regular trains with the whole journey schedule between Xi'an and Duisburg, Germany, Chengdu and Lodz, Poland were operated steadily every week, and 16 return points of China Europe regular trains were added overseas to better meet the diversified needs of customers around the world.
