The report quoted the survey data of the tourism industry in Jeju, saying that from January to April this year, there were 424585 Chinese tourists coming to Jeju, accounting for 78.6% of all foreign tourists (540392). According to the tourism industry in Jeju, more than 80% of them are individual tourists of the millennial generation (China), the generation Z and other age groups.

The report mentioned that Chinese tourists who came to Jeju in the past often had some "uncivilized behaviors", such as destroying tourist attractions and disturbing the order of public places. However, after the epidemic, the past "uncivilized image" is gradually improving as China's millennials and Generation Z become the main tourists.

According to the report, Jin Mou, a local resident, said in an interview, "It is easy to find recent young Chinese tourists on the road, and most of them seem to be observing basic etiquette. After the epidemic, the atmosphere seems to have changed."

Wen Chengzhong, a professor at Jeju Hanna University in South Korea, put forward a suggestion, "Chinese millennials and Gen Z are dissatisfied with the unfriendly and unfriendly attitude of (Koreans). Now we (Koreans) also need to make changes to improve our service level and friendliness, so as to create a cultural environment of mutual respect for our next generation."
