The Interim Measures for the Administration of Home Accommodation in Siming District (hereinafter referred to as the Interim Measures) has been officially issued recently, which defines the operating areas of home accommodation in Siming District as Zhongshan District, Zengcuo'an District and Huangcuo District.
The term "homestay" in the Interim Measures refers to the small accommodation facilities used by operators to provide accommodation for tourists to spend their leisure time and experience local customs and culture by using other self owned houses, collective houses or supporting houses of urban and rural residents except for the residential areas and commercial complexes, in combination with local humanities, natural landscape, ecology, environmental resources and agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery production activities. The guest rooms for business use shall not exceed 4 floors and the building area shall not exceed 800 square meters.
The home stay management in Siming District implements the management mechanism of government guidance, territorial management, department supervision and industry self-discipline. The Interim Measures make specific provisions on the business scale of home stay, housing safety standards and fire safety standards for building facilities, environmental protection and pollution discharge, registration of commercial subjects, etc., and clarify that the implementation of home stay should be filed with the street where it is located.
The Interim Measures shall come into force on January 27 and be valid for two years.
