How to major in finance at Durham University IELTS requirements for major in finance

Durham University (University of Durham) Finance is a three-year undergraduate program. This major pays special attention to the quantitative analysis skills required by the financial industry and financial market. Strengthen the connection between theory and practice through carefully designed courses, so as to prepare students for future financial related work. Through the study of finance, students will lay a solid academic foundation and have a deep understanding of its related theories, empirical evidence and practical applications. Introduction to Finance

In the first year, students will learn five core courses to understand the basic principles of building today's financial market, including management, accounting, economics, finance, mathematics and statistics. At the same time, students also need to choose an elective course from the fields of business, global economy or foreign languages.

In the second year, students need to learn three compulsory courses in finance, so that they can examine financial problems and relevant institutions, as well as market mechanisms and securities rules that enable various financial transactions. In addition, students also need to learn two courses of economics, namely macroeconomics and microeconomics, as well as an elective course.
