Event: On May 7, China Telecom announced the centralized prequalification of goods bidding for China Telecom Server (2020) centralized procurement project.
Comments: According to the operator's bidding website, this centralized purchase is divided into 8 packages, 56314 sets in total. The procurement includes three series: Series I refers to servers with the second generation Intel Xeon expandable processor Gold series or Silver series chips, and a total of 44731 units are purchased. Series A refers to the CPU type of the second generation AMD EPYC 7002 series processor, with a total of 398 units purchased. H series refers to the Kunpeng 920 series processor or Hygon Dyana series processor, and 11185 units are collectively purchased. In this bidding, Kunpeng+Haiguang servers account for 20%.
Kunpeng industrial chain maintains cooperation and expansion. Since 2019, Kunpeng Industrial Ecological Alliance and Ecological Innovation Center have been established in many places. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of the first quarter of 2020, Kunpeng Computing Industry Alliance had landed in four municipalities directly under the Central Government, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing, and 15 provinces, including Jilin, Shandong and Shanxi. At present, five A-share listed companies have joined the "Kunpeng" server industry chain, including Digital China, Donghua Software, Radio and Television Express, Tuowei Information, and Changshan Beiming.
The Kunpeng ecosystem of Huawei includes autonomous and controllable servers, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, network security products, etc. Huawei mainly provides and opens the Kunpeng motherboard. In the later stage, it hopes that the partners will complete the assembly of servers and PCs. Software manufacturers can develop application software and services based on openEuler's open source OS and adaptive operating systems, middleware, databases and other basic software. Huawei Kunpeng ecosystem is rapidly building. Baolande and Chengmai Technology are mainly recommended.
The domestic x86 processor of HiSoft is expected to speed up shipment. In 2019, affected by the Sino US trade war, Zhongke Dawning was temporarily interrupted to purchase server chips, and then resumed supply from October 2019. Haiguang chip is a domestic x86 chip. At present, Haiguang has completed technology absorption and is starting technology iteration. With the continuous promotion of the domestic information and innovation industry, it is expected that the Haiguang chip can enter key application fields, finance, telecommunications and other industries in succession. The shipment of Haiguang chips is expected to accelerate in 2020. Focus on Zhongke Shuguang.
