The Ministry of Health reported that the analysis of sampling results showed that the qualification rate of urea and residual chlorine in swimming pool water was low.
Qualified rate of urea 90.8%
From June to August this year, the Ministry of Health organized a nationwide sampling inspection on the water quality and hygiene of swimming places, covering 5639 artificial swimming pools (halls) in 24 provinces (districts and cities) including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
The sampling items are: total bacteria, coliform, urea, turbidity, etc. The inspection results show that the qualified rate of the total number of bacteria in the water quality of the swimming pool is 92.3%, the qualified rate of coliform group is 96.9%, the qualified rate of urea is 90.8%, and the qualified rate of turbidity is 99.4%; The qualified rate of residual chlorine is 83.7%; The qualified rate of residual chlorine in the foot dipping disinfection pool water was 87.3%. The qualified rate of hygienic indicators of urea and residual chlorine in swimming pool water and residual chlorine in foot immersion disinfection pool water is low.
Because the water in the pool is not purified enough
According to the analysis, the main reasons for the low qualification rate of urea in swimming pool water are that the water quality cannot be effectively recycled and purified, and the amount and frequency of water supplement in swimming pool are not enough. In summer, the temperature is high and there are many swimmers. Some swimming pools do not install or operate the circulating water purification and disinfection equipment in accordance with the relevant health requirements, resulting in the ineffective circulating purification of the water quality of swimming pools; Some swimming pools are not replenished with enough water and water frequency, and a certain amount of new water is not replenished regularly every day during the opening hours according to the relevant health requirements. The pool water is not updated enough to ensure that the pool water has a good health condition, resulting in excessive urea.
The main reason for the low qualification rate of residual chlorine is the unscientific use of disinfectant. The notice pointed out that some swimming places did not install or operate the circulating water purification and disinfection equipment of swimming pool water as required, but adopted the unscientific method of throwing disinfectant manually from time to time every day, which could not ensure that a sufficient amount of disinfectant was put, or that the disinfectant could not be evenly distributed in the water of swimming pool, resulting in low residual chlorine concentration in the water of swimming pool. In some swimming places, the water in the foot dipping disinfection pool was not regularly replaced with new water every day as required, the disinfectant was reintroduced or the amount of disinfectant was insufficient.
Require operators to rectify
In order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, the Ministry of Health requires all regions to urge the operators of swimming places to reconstruct the circulating purification and disinfection facilities that do not meet the standard requirements, standardize the use of foot dipping disinfection pools, implement the requirements for the delivery of disinfectants, and ensure the water quality of swimming pools.
