Asphalt production
The world petroleum asphalt production and consumption market is still dominated by North America and Europe. The production capacity of the United States is in the forefront of the world. The production capacity of asphalt in the Asia Pacific region and other developing countries tends to grow. The current construction climax of road networks in major countries in the Asia Pacific region is expected to continue until the 1920s, which indicates that the demand for road asphalt in the Asia Pacific region will continue to increase. China and India are the main countries in Asia Pacific where asphalt is on the rise. About 85% of the world's asphalt is used for paving. In recent years, the expressway has developed rapidly. By the end of 2007, more than 80 countries and regions in the world had expressways, with a total mileage of more than 230000 kilometers. The United States ranked first, with more than 88000 kilometers; The second place is China. According to the data at the end of 2011, the total mileage of highways in China reached 85000 kilometers.
According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, from 1990 to 2000, the domestic asphalt production increased from 2.73 million tons to 4.83 million tons, with an average annual growth of 5.9%; From 2000 to 2012, the output further increased to 18.62 million tons, an increase of 286%.
At present, asphalt production enterprises in China are mainly composed of five major parts: Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC, local refineries and modified asphalt production enterprises. The main asphalt production enterprises in China are distributed in northeast, east and south China, and the resource gap is mainly concentrated in central China, southwest and north China, where refineries in central China and southwest China are lacking. East and South China have sufficient resources because they are important distribution centers for imported asphalt; There are many refineries in Northeast China, and the local production is large. The regions with an annual output of more than 2 million tons are the Yangtze River Delta, Northeast, South China and Shandong. The flow direction of asphalt resources throughout the country is basically from north to south and from east to west.
According to the statistics of Baichuan Information, China's asphalt production reached about 18.62 million tons in 2012, up 16% year on year. Among them, PetroChina's annual supply is nearly 6.68 million tons, making it the largest asphalt producer, accounting for 36%; Sinopec's total output is about 5.84 million tons, accounting for 31%.
