[The African swine plague was found in Jinshan District, Shanghai]
On November 17, the Information Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that Jinshan District in Shanghai had identified the African swine plague. At 16:00 on November 17, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received a report from the China Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control. After being confirmed by the China Center for Animal Health and Epidemiology (the National Center for Foreign Animal Disease Research), the pig farmers in Jinshan District, Shanghai, have investigated the African pig plague. Up to now, the farmer has 314 live pigs on hand, 50 of which are sick and 11 are dead.
