In March 2018, Hunan Institute of Technology became one of the first batch of universities of the Ministry of Education"New Engineering" Research and Practice ProjectSelected universities.In April, Hunan Institute of Engineering "Serve the National Special Needs Talent Training Project" professional master's degree programthe Academic Degrees Committee of the State CouncilAcceptance passed.In October, the school was selected as a "double first-class" college with high-level application characteristics in Hunan Province.[5-8]
In 2019, Hunan Institute of Engineering launched education for international students in China, and recruited international students from countries along the "Belt and Road".[1]
In June 2020, Hunan Institute of Engineering was transferred to Hunan Province for undergraduate admission.[17]
On May 13, 2022,Hunan Institute of Engineering Smart Energy · Robot Modern Industry CollegeThe inauguration will promote the organic connection of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain through the joint construction of schools and enterprises, and cultivate more application-oriented talents.[16]
On April 10, 2024, the Wind Power Innovation Research Institute, the New Energy Vehicle Innovation Research Institute, the Advanced Functional Materials Innovation Research Institute, the Intelligent Textile Innovation Research Institute, and the Engineering Education and Engineering Culture Innovation Research Institute of Hunan Institute of Engineering were officially established.[28]
