The National Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology and Development Engineering was jointly applied by Chengdu University of Technology and Southwest Petroleum University in 1988 and approved by the State Planning Commission and the State Education Commission in 1990. It is a joint laboratory. The laboratory passed the national acceptance in 1995 and was officially opened to the public at home and abroad. In 2000, 2005 and 2010, it passed the evaluation with good results three times, and in 2015, it passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Science and Technology. At present, the laboratory has two branches, namely, "Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology" and "Oil and Gas Reservoir Development Engineering", which are located in Chengdu University of Technology and Southwest Petroleum University respectively. [1]
Petroleum geology and exploration in 1988 and Oil-Gas Field Development Engineering The two disciplines were rated as the first and only national key disciplines among similar disciplines. On this basis, the country approved the establishment of the first national key laboratory in the upstream field of China's oil and gas industry in 1989, that is, the national key laboratory of oil and gas reservoir geology and development engineering. The laboratory is one of the scientific research bases of oil and gas reservoir geology and development engineering in China. Significant progress has been made in the study of basin mountain coupling relationship and its dynamic model in western China, the evaluation of oil and gas resources in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, the experimental study of physical models of fractured reservoirs, and the seismic detection and comprehensive prediction of fracture cave systems; The laboratory will study and develop a set of new theories, new methods and new technologies applicable to the comprehensive research of complex oil and gas reservoirs and the development and exploitation of oil and gas fields, and use these theories, methods and technologies to open up new exploration fields, increase the reserve reserves of China's oil and gas resources, and improve recoverable reserves and oil and gas production.
