Li Peilin, male, Han nationality, was born in May 1955 in Jinan, Shandong Province. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Shandong University in 1982, studied abroad in 1983, obtained a master's degree from the University of Lyon in France in 1984, and obtained a doctor's degree in sociology from the First University of Paris (Sorbonne University) in France in 1987, as a doctoral supervisor.
He was a member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress, a deputy chairman of the Social Construction Committee, a member of the Academic Department of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and a director of the Academic Department of Social Politics and Law [1] 。

In 1972, he graduated from the high school attached to Shandong Normal University.
In 1977, he was admitted to the Philosophy Department of Shandong University. After graduation in 1982, he was admitted to study abroad and went to Beijing Language and Culture Institute to study French intensively.
In 1983, he went to France to study. In 1984, he received a master's degree from the University of Lyon in France, and in 1987, he received a doctor's degree in sociology from the First University of Paris (Sorbonne University) in France.
In 1988, he returned to China with his wife to engage in research work in the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in the Urban and Rural Sociology Research Office. In 1989, he was promoted to associate researcher, and in 1990, he served as the director of the Research Office of Industrial Sociology. In 1992, he was promoted as a researcher, and was awarded the title of "National Expert with Outstanding Contributions". Since 1993, he has served as a doctoral supervisor and enjoyed special government subsidies.
In 1993, he served as Deputy Director of the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Director of the Department of Sociology of the Graduate School.
In March 2011, he was a member of the Academic Department of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
In November 2012, he was elected as an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
From July 2013 to January 2019, Vice President and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences [2] 。 [3]
