In 1958, the formerThe Second Ministry of Machinery IndustryAfter consultation with the former Ministry of Metallurgy and approval of the State Council, it was decided to move the Department of Mining and Metallurgy Engineering of Central South College of Mining and Metallurgy to Hengyang City, on which basis Hengyang College of Mining and Metallurgy Engineering was established, which is subordinate toSecond Machinery Department。

At first, the Second Machinery Department named the college Hengyang Institute of Technology.At the end of March 1959, the Preparatory Office of the College reported to the Second Machinery Department about the name of the College: located at Huangjiawan, Qingcaoqiao, Hengyang City, there was a school called "Hengyang Institute of Technology". To avoid confusion, the Second Machinery Department was requested to change the name of the College.On June 20, the school was officially named "Hengyang Mining and Metallurgy Engineering College".The college first hopes toChangshaSite selection, however, since many factories and mines belonging to the Second Mechanical Engineering Department and Zhongnan Mining Company, which is responsible for the infrastructure construction of the college, are located near Hengyang, in order to facilitate the combination of teaching and production, it was later decided to locate in Hengyang and finally decided to locate in the western suburbs of HengyangCrouching Tiger MountainAdjacent to the hospital.On October 15, the opening ceremony was held, and on October 16, the course officially opened, enrolling 330 new students according to six majors.

In January 1980, the Preparatory Office of Hengyang Mining and Metallurgy Engineering College was established.On May 30, the Preparatory Office of the College proposed to the Second Mechanical Engineering Department that the name of the College should be changed from "Hengyang Mining and Metallurgy Engineering College" to "Central South Institute of Technology" or "Central South Institute of Technology".
In January 1983, the Ministry of Education approved: "Hengyang Institute of Technology was established at the former site of Hengyang Institute of Mining and Metallurgy EngineeringMinistry of Nuclear IndustryAnd Hunan Province, with the Ministry of Nuclear Industry as the main leader. "
On January 30, 1984, the former Ministry of Nuclear Industry forwarded the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Officially Approving the Establishment of Hengyang Institute of Technology and Starting Enrollment.On February 25, Zhang Aiping, then Deputy Secretary General of the Central Military Commission, inscribed the name of "Hengyang Institute of Technology".In September, enrollment officially resumed.
On June 23, 1993, the former National Education Commission approved Hengyang Institute of Technology to change its name toCentral South Institute of TechnologyZhang Aiping wrote a new name for the college.
In April 1998, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China confirmed that the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the college was qualified.On June 23, the 16th meeting of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved the College as a master's degree authorization point.
In 1999, the college achieved the goal of building a civilized university in Hunan Province.[3]
60th anniversary
Hengyang Medical College
On June 30, 1956, the former Ministry of Health included the plan to build a new medical college in Hengyang City, Hunan Province in the Notice on the Preparation of the Twelve Year Plan for Higher Medical Education in All Provinces. On July 11, the Health Department of Hunan Province formed the Report on the Application for Approval of the Preliminary Plan of the New Medical College.With the approval of the State Council, the Preparatory Committee for Hunan Hengyang Medical College was established, initially named Hunan Hengyang Medical College.
In April 1958, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee made a decision to establish Hengyang Medical College, sponsored by the Health Department of Hunan Province, and asked Hunan Medical College to give full support to Hengyang Medical College.On October 13, classes were suspended under the instruction of the superior, and the whole college teachers and students were involved in the steelmaking movement for more than a month.On November 12, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee decided to suspend classes for teachers and students of medical colleges in Hunan Province and delegate them to rural areas to eliminate four pests, prevent and treat diseases, and eliminate pests and diseases. Hengyang Medical College immediately began to take action, and the whole faculty and students returned to school to resume classes in June 1959.
In August 1960, the Hunan Provincial People's Committee approved the renaming of "Hunan Hengyang Medical College" to "Hengyang Medical College".
On June 5, 1962, the Hunan Provincial Health Department's "Opinions on the Adjustment of High School and Other Medical Colleges" determined that "Hengyang Medical College was changed into Hengyang Medical College, which was suspended for three years from the autumn of 1962".
At the end of 1964, the Health Department of Hunan Province began to plan to reopen Hengyang Medical College.
On September 8, 1965, the reopening ceremony was held.At that time, 150 new students were enrolled, of which 149 were actually enrolled. The specialty was a junior college of the Department of Health, and the schooling period was three years.
In the first half of 1966, Hengyang Medical College was reopened soon after the "Cultural Revolution" began. From 1966 to 1969, there was no enrollment for four consecutive years.
In April 1970, Hengyang Medical College held a worker doctor class for one year. It enrolled 278 students, all of whom were workers, apprentices, administrators or medical workers in factories and mines selected from the national defense and industrial transportation systems of the province.
In August 1971, a one-year medical specialized course was enrolled, with 156 students in total.
Since 1972, colleges and universities across the country have officially enrolled students. Hengyang Medical College has enrolled the first batch of 400 workers, peasants and soldiers, majoring in three-year medical and health care.From 1972 to 1976, the university enrolled 1750 workers, peasants and soldiers for five consecutive years.

In 1975, a branch school of Hengyang Medical College was set up in Lingling, Hengyang and Chenzhou.In 1977, the higher authorities decided that each branch school was completely managed by each region and no longer had any relationship with the head school.
On July 26, 1977, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee issued the Notice on Changing Hengyang Medical College into Hengyang Medical College, deciding to change Hengyang Medical College intoHengyang Medical CollegeThe five-year undergraduate enrollment has been resumed, and it is a provincial university.
Since the beginning of 1979, the college and its affiliated hospitals have set up a special team to implement the policy, which has comprehensively reviewed and corrected the unjust, false and wrong cases caused by the "Cultural Revolution" and the people and things wrongly handled in all political movements after the anti rightist struggle in 1957.[4]
In April 1983, the provincial government decided to change Hengyang People's Hospital into an affiliated hospital of Hengyang Medical College.In October, the handover procedure was handled, and the name was changed to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hengyang Medical College, and the original Affiliated Hospital was changed to the Second Affiliated Hospital.
In September 1986, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, he obtained the right to confer master's degrees and began to enroll master's students.
Sixth Institute of Nuclear Industry
At the end of May 1962, the party committee of the 12th Bureau of the Second Machinery Department of the Communist Party of China decided to set up the "Nanchang Mining Research Institute" on the basis of the former Jiangxi Mineral Bureau Research Institute to meet the needs of the first batch of uranium mines in China to be put into production successively.In September, Nanchang Mining Research Institute was officially established.
In July 1964, the former National Planning Commission and the National Defense Industry Office of the State Council decided to move the mine design part of Beijing First Design Institute to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, and merged with Nanchang Institute to establish a mine research and design institute.
In October 1965, the mining design department of Beijing First Research Institute was successively moved to Nanchang and merged with Nanchang Mining Research Institute to establish the Third Research and Design Institute.
In October 1969, the Third Research and Design Institute and the 709 Survey Team successively moved to the site of the former Hengyang Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Engineering in Hengyang City and merged with the former Beijing First Institute.On December 17, the Military Management Committee of the former Second Mechanical Industry Department approved the merger of the first and third institutes and named them "the fourth design and research institute of the second mechanical industry department". The institute is located in Hengyang City (formerly Hengyang Mining and Metallurgy Engineering College).
In February 1975, with the approval of the Second Engineering Department, Hunan Mining Research Institute was established on the basis of the scientific research office of the Fourth Design Institute to undertake the scientific research task of uranium mines nationwide.
On May 16, 1976, Hunan Mining Research Institute (code name: Hunan Sixth Research Institute) of the Second Mechanical Engineering Department was officially established.
From 1976 to 1979, the six institutes established and improved the organizations of the Communist Party of China at all levels while improving their scientific research institutions. In the past, unjust, false and wrong cases were brought to order.
In the early 1980s, Hunan Mining Research Institute was renamed as the Uranium Mining Research Institute of the Second Mechanical Department and the Uranium Mining Research Institute of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry.
In April 1983, the Uranium Mining Research Institute of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry was renamed the Sixth Research Institute of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry.
In July 1984, the former Ministry of Nuclear Industry held a meeting on the reform of the scientific and technological system, which identified six institutes as reform pilot units.
On May 5, 1989, China National Nuclear Industry Corporation (CNNC) approved six institutes as Class II institutes, equivalent to deputy bureau level units of the government.
In 1999, General Zhang Aiping inscribed the name of the "Sixth Institute of Nuclear Industry".[5]

Establishment of Nanhua University
In 1999, the People's Government of Hunan Province submitted to the Ministry of Education the Letter on the Merger of Central South University of Technology and Hengyang Medical College to form Hengyang University or Hunan University of Science and Technology.
On March 27, 2000, the Ministry of Education agreed to merge the former Central South University of Technology and Hengyang Medical College to form Nanhua University.On May 15, the Hunan Provincial People's Government issued the Notice on the Establishment of Nanhua University to the Provincial Department of Education and Hengyang Municipal People's Government.On September 20, the founding ceremony of Nanhua University was held in the university hall. Zhou Yuanqing, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, and Tang Zhixiang, Vice Governor of Hunan Provincial People's Government unveiled the "Nanhua University".In October, the school submitted a request to the People's Government of Hunan Province, the Provincial Department of Education and the Department of Health to incorporate the Sixth Research Institute of the Nuclear Industry into the school and transfer the 415 Hospital of the Nuclear Industry into the directly affiliated hospital of the school.

In July 2004,PLA NavyAn agreement was signed with Nanhua University to jointly train military cadres, and the university became a selection and training base for reserve officers of the PLA.
In 2009, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense selected the schools as the first batch of military industry culture and education bases in China.
In May 2010, Nanhua University won the title of Hunan National Defense Education Base.
In September 2011, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was selected into the second batch of colleges and universities with excellent engineer education and training plan.
In November 2012, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, it was selected as one of the first batch of pilot universities for the excellent doctor education and training program.
In February 2018, the first national international scientific and technological cooperation base of demonstration type in the nuclear field in Hunan Province was settled in Nanhua University.In March, it was selected as one of the first "new engineering" research and practice projects of the Ministry of Education.In July, it was rated asUniversities with typical experience of national innovation and entrepreneurship。[10-13]
In March 2019,Hengyang Third People's HospitalThe signing of the agreement to transfer to the hospital directly affiliated to Nanhua University and the awarding ceremony of the public health hospital affiliated to Nanhua University and Hengyang Public Health Clinical Center were held.[14]
In April 2020, Nanhua University's "Demonstration Base for Innovative Talents Training in Combination with Nuclear Medicine" was selected as the National Demonstration Base for Innovative Talents Training.On October 21, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment signed an agreement with the People's Government of Hunan Province to jointly build Nanhua University.[1]On October 21, the National Health Commission signed an agreement with the People's Government of Hunan Province to jointly build Hengyang Medical College of Nanhua University and its affiliated hospital.[1]
In January 2022, the Hunan Provincial Veterans' Hospital jointly established and managed by the Hunan Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs and Nanhua University was officially establishedUnveiling.[42]On October 13, the University Intellectual Property Center of Nanhua University unveiledCards.[49]
