In March 2024, according to the website of the State Administration of Market Supervision, Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automotive Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automotive Products. From August 9, 2024, 204255 Class C, Class E and GLK vehicles with production dates from December 2, 2010 to October 31, 2014 will be recalled. The electrolyte of 12V batteries assembled in some vehicles within the scope of this recall may leak out from the pole after a long time of use. In extreme cases, the battery sensor is damaged, and the condensed water in the air seeps into the battery sensor, causing corrosion or even short circuit, which may lead to fire risk.^[38]

From April 17, 2024, Mercedes Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. will recall 94574 imported C-class, S-class, EQE, SL and domestic C-class and GLC SUVs with production dates from February 6, 2023 to October 13, 2023. The 80A fuse of some vehicles within the scope of this recall may have a deviation in the welding process, which may cause the fuse connection to be interrupted or the current required for fusing is too high, resulting in the failure of the system associated with it, the vehicle may lose power, the restraint system, instrument display, etc. may be affected, and there are potential safety hazards. In addition, the risk of fire is not excluded.^[38]

In June 2024, Mercedes Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and planned to recall the following vehicles. From June 21, 2024, 39 imported EQS SUVs with production dates from November 28, 2023 to February 7, 2024 will be recalled; A total of 2341 domestic EQE SUVs produced from November 1, 2023 to April 25, 2024.

Due to software deviation of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the high-voltage battery management system cannot process the diagnosis request of some control units, which may lead to the power failure of the high-voltage battery, loss of power of the vehicle during driving, and there are potential safety hazards.

Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. will upgrade the control unit software of high-voltage battery management system for vehicles within the recall scope free of charge through authorized dealers of Mercedes Benz to eliminate potential safety hazards.^[39]

On August 23, 2024, Mercedes Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration of the People's Republic of China from September 27, 2024. 4000 imported C-class, CLS, E-class and AMG GT vehicles with production dates from July 25, 2019 to March 20, 2023, and 160 domestic C-class and E-class vehicles with production dates from September 20, 2019 to August 14, 2021 are involved. The reason is that some vehicles within the recall range are installed with incorrect communication modules, which may lead to deviation of vehicle position and potential safety hazard.^[40]

In September 2024, Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recall. From October 25, 2024, 8622 domestic Class C vehicles with production dates from September 5, 2023 to November 11, 2023 will be recalled.^[41]

On September 20, 2024, the official website of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration announced that Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. and others filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recall. It is planned to recall 241861 Class A, Class B, CLA and GLA vehicles imported from August 30, 2011 to April 3, 2019 from November 27, 2024 ； A total of 281233 domestic GLA vehicles were produced from March 13, 2014 to October 12, 2019.^[42]
