Shanghai Museum of Traditional Chinese MedicineFounded in 2003, its predecessor was the Museum of Medical History of the Chinese Medical Association, which was founded in 1938. It is the first professional museum of medical history in China, and consists of the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine/Museum of Medical History of the Chinese Medical Association, the Museum of Herbal Medicine Specimens, and the Museum of School History.

《Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture》The magazine (formerly "Knowledge of Ancient Chinese Medicine"), founded in 1984, is a bimonthly magazine, which is under the charge of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and co sponsored by Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has long focused on academic hot spots of traditional Chinese medicine.The journal reprinted by the National People's Congress of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the journal of statistical source of the Comprehensive Evaluation Database of Chinese Academic Journals, was included in the China Core Periodicals (Selection) Database.In 2021, it was selected into the T2 level of the classification catalog of high-quality scientific and technological journals of the China Association for Science and Technology.[118]

The Alumni Association
On September 20, 1986, the alumni association of Shanghai Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine was announced to be established, and the alumni association of the private Shanghai Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (formerly Shanghai Special School of Traditional Chinese Medicine), the Chinese Medical College, the New China Medical College and the Shanghai Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine established in 1956 formed the alumni association.In December 1993, the alumni association of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was renamed as the alumni association of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.In 1996, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the university, the alumni association of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese MedicineShanghai Municipal Administration of Social OrganizationsCertified and registered.[96]
In September 1956, Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (the predecessor of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) established the library at the beginning of its establishment. After more than 60 years of construction and accumulation, the library has undergone earth shaking changes, with the area of the library room increasing and the service function increasing.The library of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has two dedicated ancient book stacks, covering an area of more than 170 square meters.Among them, 36663 ancient books were collected, including 1110 rare books and 6196 volumes.The collection of books is mainly printed and transcribed books related to Chinese medicine in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, including various versions of Japan and Korea during the same period, as well as Chinese medicine books and teaching materials of various Chinese medicine schools during the Republic of China.The school's collection of ancient books of Chinese medicine, whether in terms of variety, number of copies, or quality, ranks among the top Chinese medicine colleges and universities in China.At the same time, there are 109 TCM periodicals published during the Republic of China, and various thread bound books and rare books of literature, history and philosophy are also collected.In June 2009, it was rated as "National Key Protected Unit of Ancient Books" and "Shanghai Key Protected Unit of Ancient Books"[127]。

Shanghai Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 2003, its predecessor was the Museum of Medical History of the Chinese Medical Association, which was founded in 1938.The building area of the museum is 6314mtwo, exhibition area 4050mtwo。The basic display is divided into eight topics: original medical activities, ancient medical and health relics, medical management of previous dynasties, medical convergence of previous dynasties, health preservation culture, modern marine traditional Chinese medicine, appreciation of herbal prescriptions, and the new look of contemporary Qihuang, reflecting the main achievements of Chinese medicine in various historical periods and foreshadowing its bright prospects for future development[128]。
