Toy gun parts stuck in the trachea of a 3-year-old child, almost killing him

Because of a toy gun part, the 3-year-old child almost walked through the jaws of death. Fortunately, after 5 hours of rescue, the doctor successfully removed the foreign body.

At 9:00 p.m. on July 1, a parent rushed to the emergency room of Yongkang First People's Hospital with a child in his arms.

The child is called Zuzun, 3 years old this year. His face turned blue, he had difficulty breathing, and his mind was not clear. The anxious parents did not know what was wrong with the child.

The doctor first thought that the biggest possibility was that there was a foreign body in the child's trachea. Through the bronchoscope, the doctor saw something similar to a small ball.

However, the surface of the foreign matter is smooth and difficult to remove. The foreign body in the trachea is special and must be taken out at one time.

After consultation, the doctor decided to use the electronic bronchoscope, first push the foreign body forward slightly to fix it. Then clamp the foreign matter firmly with pliers.

In order to let the foreign body pass through the glottis, another doctor dragged the mandible of the cup to let the trachea stretch. Slowly, finally take out. At this time, it was more than 2 o'clock in the morning of the next day, five hours before the child was sent to the hospital.

The foreign object is a slender plastic part, which should be a part of the toy gun. It is estimated that the child swallowed it carelessly while playing.

In the whole process, the parents did not realize that the child swallowed a foreign object. During the operation, it was repeatedly emphasized that they were not choked. After the operation was successful, the parents also felt very guilty and said that they had not taken good care of their children. Our reporter Chen Jiuren
