Q1: Why doesn't the Translator software automatically execute after inserting the Translator CD into the USB slot of the computer? If the translation software does not automatically execute after the portable disk is inserted, it may be that the portable disk is inserted reversely. Please pull it out and insert it again with the reverse side.
Q2: How can I make the translator support PDF file format in real-time translation? By default, real-time translation supports word retrieval query in Acrobat 5.0/6.0/7.0/8.0.If you find that instant translation cannot be used in Acrobat normally, please do the following: Step 1: Check whether the Dreye40.api file already exists in the plug_ins folder under the Acrobat installation directory. If not, manually copy the Dreye40.api file under the DreyeUSB ->Pedestic folder in the translator's read-only area to this folder. Step 2: Please confirm that the certified plug_ins Only item in Acrobat 5.0 in Edit ->Preferences ->Options ->Startup is in non execution status;Please confirm that the Use only certified plug-ins in Acrobat 6.0 or 7.0 in Edit ->Preferences ->Startup ->Application Startup is in non execution status;Please make sure that the Use only certified plug-ins of Acrobat 8.0 in Edit ->Preferences ->General ->Application Startup is in non execution status.If it is not in the non execution state, please manually set it to the non execution state. Q3: Why don't you see the control column after starting the translator? Please check whether there is a small Dr.eye icon on the work bar in the lower right corner of the computer.If yes, please point the mouse pointer to this small icon, then right-click and click Place on the desktop (tick), or double-click the mouse to display the control column on the desktop.
Q4: Why do expanded new words disappear? The expanded new word content is stored in the Dreye folder in the read-write area of the Translation Kid's portable disk. If the folder content is deleted, the expanded new word content will be lost.After restarting Translator, it will automatically connect to the DrEye.com Server to re expand all new words.
Q5: Why are the system settings restored to the factory default, and the contents of the self built font library and user built dictionary also lost? The Dreye folder in the read-write area of the Translator's portable disc stores system settings, self built font and user built dictionary. If the contents of this folder are deleted, the relevant settings of Translator's portable disc will be restored to the factory default state, and the self built font and user built dictionary will also be lost and irretrievable,Therefore, please remember not to delete the contents of the Dreye folder in the read-write area of the Dreye translation CD.
Q6: Why can't I find the function button sometimes? There may be the following situations: Situation 1: You are inControl Column SettingsIs set inUse automatic memory, the control column will automatically hide the function buttons you often don't use. Just click the arrow at the right end of the control column to expand the control column and display the hidden function buttons. Situation 2: You are inControl Column SettingsIs set inUse manual selection, the control column will automatically hide the function button you have not selected, as long as you click the function you want (tick) in the system settings.
Q7: Why can't I remove the translation child hardware normally after formatting the removal disk area of the translation child hardware into NTFS format?
To ensure the normal use of the Translation Kid, do not format its dismounted disk area in NTFS format.
