The modification method is very simple. There are two ways to modify the SSH password. Please continue to see.
1. Log in to AliCloud account
2. Enter ECS
Go to the management console>>ECS>>Instance>>and you will see the ECS you have purchased.
The reason why you can't see it is because the region is not selected correctly. The method of selecting the region is the lower triangle arrow behind East China 1 (Hangzhou) at the top of the page. Find your ECS region and you can see the ECS.
3. Password modification method I
Find "More">>"Password/Key">>"Reset Password" on the right side of the ECS, enter the new SSH password, and then Lao Wei sees the mobile phone verification prompt here, enter the verification code received by the mobile phone, and the modification is successful.
In "More">>"Password/Key">>"Modify Remote Password", the password here refers to the VNC password, which is equivalent to the web version of SSH. To access the web version of SSH, you must first enter a password to ensure that VNC will not be tampered with by others. Generally speaking, we are used to using SSH software to connect to ECS, so we will not change it here.
4. Password modification method II
Click "Manage">>"Instance Details">>"More">>"Reset Password" on the right side of the ECS name, and the next operation is the same as that in step 3.
Prompt: After resetting the instance password, the instance can take effect only after the console restarts the instance.
In fact, these two methods of resetting SSH passwords on Alibaba Cloud servers are quite simple. However, for newcomers who are new to the Alibaba Cloud management console, they may need to explore several times before they can find the operation portal without referring to such tutorials.
