    Hi,

We’ve used the Akismet Spam Protection for a few months and all has been working well.

However, we received two spam comments on 26/06 which were clearly spam but they were not caught.

Is there a way I can verify the system is working, and check why these recent comments were not caught?

    Thanks

    Peter Hardicker

Spammers are always working to find new ways to get around our spam filtering. Akismet is always learning so if you come across a piece of spam that Akismet misses marking it as spam will help Akismet learn and not miss similar spam in the future.

Checking your site we have not received any missed spam reports from you, so please mark those items as spam so the system can learn and adapt.

    Hi csonnek,

    Many thanks for your response.

I am using Akismet spam protection with Forminator and I can see the two submissions that should have been captured as spam in the Forminator submissions database. However, I can’t see how to set these submissions as Spam. How can I do this?

    Thanks!

    Looking at Forminator’s documentation here:

    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/

…it looks like they have a mechanism to mark items as spam. If you’re not able to find it, I would recommend reaching out to their support to see how to do so.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi there.

Just to note that the Forminator team is aware of some bugs in their Akismet implementation, and are working on a fix.
