Communication World Network News (CWW) Recently, Hebei Telecom and ZTE took the lead in completing the technical verification of the perception capability of the 5G-A new base station in Xiong'an Yuerong Park. This networking verification has realized the perception of target objects such as UAVs. The maximum distance of perception ranging exceeds 1 km, and the perception accuracy can reach sub meter level. It also conducts real-time accurate positioning and tracking for the flight path of UAVs, and actively and effectively prevents and controls "black flying" UAVs that break into or leave the electronic fence area. Synaesthesia technology provides a new means of "seeing" and "managing" for low altitude flight airspace channel management, enabling safe operation under the orderly supervision of low altitude economy, and assisting the large-scale development of low altitude economy.

5G-A synaesthesia technology refers to the fusion of perception capability on the communication system, the use of wireless signals to provide real-time environmental awareness, and the introduction of radar like target detection capabilities. Synaesthesia technology enables the network not only to transmit information, but also to monitor the location information of objects in the surrounding environment of the network in real time, providing a real-time perception interaction fusion scheme for building the physical world and digital systems for industrial directions such as UAVs, intelligent transportation and parks. Combined with the exploration and practice of the "three cities" of Xiong'an New Area, namely, the ground, underground and cloud, Xiong'an Telecom can realize the intelligent monitoring of Xiong'an low altitude security, bird protection and other application scenarios through 5G synaesthesia technology and AI platform algorithm, and promote Xiong'an to further improve the digital management level in urban governance, ecological monitoring and other fields.

In 2024, the low altitude economy was included in the category of new quality productivity and written into the government work report. With the increasingly mature related technologies and extensive application scenarios, 2024 is expected to become the first year of domestic low altitude economic development.
