Create File System
To use Baidu Smart Cloud File System CFS service, you need to create a file system first.
Enter the "File System CFS ->File System List" page of Baidu Smart Cloud Management Console, click "New File System" in the upper left corner of the page, and configure the parameters for creating the file system in the pop-up window to complete the creation of the file system. The specific purchase interface and selection parameters are as follows:
parameter |
explain |
file system name |
The user sets the name of the file system that needs to be created according to the requirements. |
region |
That is, the region where the file system is created. If you want to change it, you can click the region name in the upper left corner of the console to switch regions. |
Zone |
Users can set the availability zone of the file system as required. Each region contains several zones. All zones in the region where CFS services have been deployed will be displayed here. The file system can be mounted and used across zones, but it is recommended to choose the same zone as the virtual machine/container. In this case, the delay of cross zone generation can be avoided, and the performance is optimal. |
Agreement Type |
Users need to set the protocol types that support the creation of file systems according to their needs. Currently, CFS supports NFS and SMB protocols. |
Storage type |
File storage CFS is divided into capacity type and performance type, which you can choose as required. |
Custom Capacity |
The user can turn on whether to customize the capacity as required. The system automatically expands the capacity by default. After turning on the user-defined capacity, you need to manually adjust the upper limit of the capacity. |
Maximum capacity |
If you enable "Custom Capacity", you can set the maximum capacity of the file system (the maximum capacity of a single file system) as needed. When the actual used capacity reaches this value, you will not be able to write to the file system, and you need to change the capacity. |
File system encryption |
When encryption is enabled, the written data will be automatically encrypted and automatically decrypted when reading. |
Binding Label |
By binding labels to each cloud resource, you can quickly classify, identify and manage these resources. |
After setting the parameters of the file system, click OK to create the file system successfully.
After creating the file system, you need to continue to create the mount point to use the file system. Common file system instance status is as follows:
Instance Status |
Status description |
In operation |
The file system instance is running normally |
Creating |
The file system instance is being created |
Deleting |
The file system instance is being deleted |
Backup recovery failed |
The recovery of the file system instance from the backup copy of the source file system failed. It is recommended that you delete it and then resume the backup recovery operation |
Backup recovery in progress |
The file system instance is being recovered from the backup copy of the source file system. If the amount of data to be recovered is large, the recovery time will be longer |
