On the way to youth, there are trials, contributions and gains

"Supporting education is a romantic and enthusiastic journey". Over a distance of more than 2000 kilometers from Yanzhao to a small city in the west, I (a member of the 25th Research Group of Henan University of Technology) came to Yumen, Gansu Province, with a pure heart of youth dedication, to serve Youcheng School in the old urban area.

Last semester, due to the work arrangement of the school, I undertook the teaching tasks of mathematics and art for the second and third grades, and also served as the officer of the teaching office and the teacher of the second grade. At that time, I was not completely familiar with the environment, and felt great pressure in the face of unfamiliar primary school classrooms and trivial daily work.

However, growing pains are always accompanied by beautiful surprises. In math class, a classmate said, "Teacher, your handwriting is so ugly." At that time, I laughed off on the surface, but secretly decided to practice the chalk. After a semester of hard work, now my chalk writing is more and more standardized. Maybe this is the unexpected surprise in growing up!

For the second and third grade teachers, teaching is not only to teach knowledge, but also to cultivate students' learning interests and habits. This is even more difficult for me, a novice teacher, but I firmly believe that "difficulties are only temporary, as long as we persist, we can overcome them". On the one hand, I took the time to study the teaching materials, carefully prepared each lesson, and actively asked experienced teachers for teaching experience. In class, I constantly improve children's learning efficiency by guessing riddles, playing games and encouraging them.

The effort pays off. Last semester, my teaching ability and students' academic performance were improved, and I also learned from teaching and learning between teachers and students.

During the service, I received a flower folded with colored paper and a New Year's Day greeting card; I heard the children saying "Hello, Miss Li" and the first initiative speech to the students; I saw the students sitting upright and writing standard homework. These little things have made me feel full of happiness.

Yumen, known as "the cradle of petroleum industry", is the hometown of iron man Wang Jinxi, with rich historical and cultural heritage. This thick land gives me a strong responsibility and mission: not only to teach knowledge, but also to plant the seeds of hope for children. In my daily teaching work, I use art classes or comprehensive practice classes to accompany children to learn the history of Yumen, feel its glory, and record the fireworks in the old city of Yumen with cameras, so as to ignite children's hopes and encourage them to pursue their dreams and move forward.

Here, I met not only 74 lovely children, but also a group of like-minded colleagues. In work, they helped me unreservedly like masters, teaching me how to write teaching plans, how to organize classes, and how to improve teaching work; In life, they care and help me like elders, which makes me feel the warmth of home.

One year is very short, but the process is very full, which makes me deeply realize that "teaching is a kind of training, a kind of dedication, and a harvest". (Reporter Li Yanlong Correspondent Li Yuling)
