According to the introduction of Wuhan Civil Affairs Bureau, our city issued more than 1 billion yuan of subsistence allowances last year. Among them, 540 million yuan of minimum living allowances and various subsidies were granted to urban residents and 520 million yuan to rural residents. After the standard was raised, the comprehensive growth rate of our city's minimum living standard was 9.3%. The urban minimum living standard was about 30% of the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents last year, and the rural minimum living standard was about 43.5% of the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents last year. The relevant person in charge of the Civil Affairs Bureau told the Changjiang Daily that behind these figures is the improvement of the income and quality of life of low-income families, the further narrowing of the gap between urban and rural minimum living standards, and the strengthening of targeted poverty alleviation. In the future, more low-income families and spending poor families will enjoy the assistance policy. (Reporter Wang Xue, Yang Fan, Correspondent Dai Liangjun)
