A few days ago, at the APEC Business Leaders' Summit held in the Pacific island country of Papua New Guinea, President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech entitled "Working together to create a better future", stressing that the world economic development should adhere to openness, development, inclusiveness, innovation and rule guidance. International people interviewed by our reporter believe that President Xi's keynote speech provides a clear road map for the development of the world economy. China is leading the healthy development of economic globalization with its own ideas and actions. China, which continues to expand its openness, will make greater contributions to world prosperity.

The five point proposition is an interrelated whole

Facing the historical tide, how can we grasp the correct direction for the development of the world economy? How can we find effective governance ideas for the international community? President Xi Jinping clearly put forward five propositions in his keynote speech: adhere to the open orientation and expand development space; Adhere to the development orientation and promote people's well-being; Adhere to inclusive orientation and promote integration and mutual learning; Insist on innovation orientation and open up the source of growth; Adhere to the rule orientation and improve global governance.

"At present, there is a trend of anti globalization in the world. Against this background, China, as a beneficiary and an important contributor of economic globalization, has attracted worldwide attention for its attitude of actively embracing globalization." Zhao Suisheng, a tenured professor of the Joseph Kebel School of International Relations at the University of Denver and executive director of the Center for US China Cooperation, told our reporter, President Xi put forward the idea of adhering to the open orientation in his keynote speech, which actually reflects China's leading role in economic globalization.

Tang Zhimin, director of the China ASEAN Research Center of the School of Management of Chia Tai, Thailand, noted that President Xi Jinping's five propositions in his speech, among which openness, development, inclusiveness and innovation are the concepts that China has actively advocated in recent years, and rule orientation is a new concept. Tang Zhimin believes that President Xi Jinping's proposal to adhere to the rule orientation conveys multiple messages, including China's willingness to abide by and maintain international rules and promote global governance reform.

Liu Bihu, the former president of the Strategic Research Institute of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and an economist, told our reporter that at present, some countries choose to pursue protectionism in the face of risks and challenges, which adds new uncertainty to the development of the world economy. In this context, should we choose to open or close? In his speech, President Xi Jinping reiterated China's choice to open up, because only adhering to opening up is the right choice for economic development.

In the opinion of the columnist Ernesto Hilario of the Philippine Business Mirror, President Xi Jinping's five point proposal on world economic development and global governance reform is an interconnected whole. Adhering to the rule orientation means that any country must act in accordance with the established rules at the global level, which is conducive to maintaining the stable development of the world economy. "I think these five propositions are applicable to developing countries as well as developed countries, providing a clear road map for world economic development."

China's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up will benefit the world

Looking back on the 40 years of reform and opening up, the Chinese people are more firmly aware that only reform and opening up can develop China. President Xi Jinping pointed out in his keynote speech that, facing the future, China will make greater contributions to the common prosperity of all countries in the world while realizing its own development with a more responsible spirit, a more open and inclusive mind, and higher quality growth.

Liu Bihu told our reporter that China's reform and opening up has gone through 40 years, which has brought about tremendous changes in all aspects of China's economy and society. The great achievements China has made in the past 40 years are the results and embodiment of China's initiative to integrate into the world. As President Xi Jinping said in his keynote speech, "China's today is the work of the Chinese people!"

Zhao Suisheng said that China has made great achievements through reform and opening up, but after years of rapid development, economic development has encountered some obstacles. These problems can only be solved by increasing reform and opening up, and can continue to expand the development space of China's economy. At the same time, all countries' adherence to openness and cooperation plays a positive role in promoting the healthy development of the global economy. China's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up will benefit the world, especially the developing countries.

Jin Zhenhao, a professor in the Department of Political Diplomacy of Tankuo University in South Korea, told our reporter that China's opening up has connected China with the world, greatly promoted the common development of neighboring countries and the entire Asia Pacific region, and also led the world economy to move towards a more open direction. There is an old saying in China that "the world is fair". China's development has always adhered to the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind featuring mutual respect, mutual exchange, and win-win cooperation, which has also been reflected in the construction of the "Belt and Road".

The Belt and Road Initiative has won wide support from the international community

In his keynote speech, President Xi Jinping stressed that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" is an open platform for cooperation, adhering to the basic principle of joint discussion, joint construction and sharing. There is no geopolitical purpose, no one is excluded, and no small circle will be established behind closed doors. It is not what some people call "traps", but China's sharing of opportunities with the world A sunny avenue for common development.

Jiang Yuangui, an economist at the Japan Institute of International Trade and Investment, told our reporter that China's proposal of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the holding of the first China International Import Expo have received extensive support from the international community, reflecting the world's recognition of China's voice and wisdom.

Jiang Yuanguiyou said that five years after the "Belt and Road" was proposed, it has been widely welcomed. China has signed cooperation agreements with more than 140 countries and international organizations to jointly build the "Belt and Road", which is the best proof that the "Belt and Road" initiative conforms to the development trend of the times. The basic principles of the "five links" and joint consultation, construction and sharing of the "Belt and Road" initiative have been widely endorsed by the international community.

Jin Zhenhao said that in recent years, China has made more and more important contributions to the world economy, especially China has led the economic globalization forward with its own continuous opening up. After more than five years of development, the "Belt and Road" construction has entered a new stage. It is expected that China will continue to work with other countries to meet challenges and play a leading role in the future development of the Asia Pacific region and the world as a whole.
