On August 23, Uzbekistan's Oksana Chusovitina won a silver medal with 14.287 points in the women's vault final of the Asian Games in Jakarta. The 43 year old Chusovitina had participated in the World Gymnastics Championships and the Olympic Games on behalf of different countries for many times before in order to raise money for her son suffering from leukemia. Now her son has recovered. "Gymnastic mother" has once again represented Uzbekistan in the Jakarta Asian Games to continue her gymnastics dream.
