Putian Licheng Launches Joint Law Enforcement Cruise Action to Clear Channel Obstructions and Publicity Activity of Fishing Closure in Summer Season

Putian, Southeastern. com, April 28 (correspondent Zheng Yipin, Zheng Yanjing, text/picture) Recently, the Natural Resources Bureau of Licheng District, Putian City, in conjunction with Licheng Workstation of Putian Maritime Police Bureau, the Coastal Defense Brigade of Licheng Branch of Putian Public Security Bureau, Huangshi Town, Beigao Town and other units, carried out a joint law enforcement cruise action to clean up navigation obstacles in the channel at the mouth of Mulan River in Xinghua Bay, and a publicity activity for fishing moratorium in the summer.

During this period, the staff carried out inspections and clean-up actions against illegal customized fishing nets, floats and illegal production in the channel. According to reports, 15 illegal nets and floats were cleared up in this operation to further eliminate hidden dangers of fishing boats and ensure the navigation safety of ships in the channel.

Later, the staff went to Dongjia Fishing Port in Huangshi to carry out publicity activities for the summer fishing moratorium in combination with the upcoming summer fishing moratorium, distributed promotional materials to fishermen on the site, popularized the relevant policies of the summer fishing moratorium, and improved the consciousness and enthusiasm of fishermen to support and participate in the summer fishing moratorium.

In the next step, Licheng District Natural Resources Bureau will strengthen the mechanism of information sharing and coordinated law enforcement with fishery related departments, crack down on illegal fishing, jointly create a safe, green and harmonious maritime safe production order, and ensure the safe, stable and sustainable development of fisheries.
