Guo Shaoquan, the president of Fujian Guantou Federation, said that more than 80000 US dollars (about 580000 yuan) had been donated, which was transferred to Ou Yihui's relatives by Chang Jiang Zengchun, secretary of the 7th and 6th Homecoming Association of Lianjiang No. 2 Middle School.
Representatives of Dongsheng Village, Guantou Town expressed their gratitude for the donations made by the villagers in the United States, and the relatives of Ou Yihui presented the plaque of "great love is boundless, good virtue is eternal" to the Fujian Guantou Federation of the United States.
Ou Yihui, a native of Dongsheng Village, Guantou Town, died at the age of 42. In order to change the poor life of his family, he went to the United States to work in October 2023, and died in the United States of America in early this year due to sudden myocardial infarction. Ou Yihui, the only child in his family, has elderly parents and young children. The death of Ou Yihui has made this already poor family more difficult. His relatives and friends in the United States recently asked the Guantou Federation of the United States for help, calling on the Chinese community to lend a hand.
