On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the Notice on Propaganda and Education of the History of the Party, the History of New China, the History of Reform and Opening up, and the History of Socialist Development in the Whole Society (hereinafter referred to as the Notice), which deployed the publicity and education of the "Four Histories" and guided the masses of the people to deeply understand the great contribution of the Party to the country and the nation, Deeply understand the original purpose of the Party's unswerving commitment to the people, learn from the major theoretical achievements of the Party in promoting the localization of Marxism in China, and inherit the great spirit forged by the Party in its long-term struggle.

It is of great significance for the backbone of the socialist cause to maintain its progressiveness and purity to carry out the study and education of the Party history in a centralized way throughout the Party, so that Party members and cadres can sum up historical experience, firmly believe in and inherit the red gene. The purpose of carrying out the publicity and education of "Four Histories" in the whole society is to gather more strength, and through constantly improving the people's political, ideological, theoretical and emotional identity, we will unswervingly listen to and follow the Party, and make contributions to the great practice of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.

To learn history, one must first stand on its own merits. The history of the Party records the great course of the CPC from scratch, from small to large, from weak to strong; The history of New China witnessed the great leap of the Chinese nation from standing up, becoming rich to becoming strong; The history of reform and opening up shows the great changes of the Chinese people from lack of food and clothing to a well-off society in an all-round way; The history of socialist development is engraved with the bumpy process of socialism with Chinese characteristics from its creation, development to perfection. The content of "Four Histories" is inseparable. It is necessary to learn the "four histories", grasp the main theme and mainstream essence, figure out the basic issues such as why the Communist Party of China can, why Marxism works, why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good, and let the people know that history loves the Party, knows history and loves the country.

Let history tell the future. We should not only grasp the key links, create history by summing up historical experience, and move towards the future in grasping the laws of history, but also face the key groups, so that the red gene and revolutionary firewood can be inherited from generation to generation. The future of China belongs to youth. The Notice especially emphasizes on highlighting the youth group, which is precisely because some young people, due to their age and experience, still have relatively little knowledge of the "Four Histories"; A few people even went to historical nihilism under the erosion of bad culture. Only by organizing the people, especially the young people, to study the "Four Histories" and cultivating the feelings of loving the Party, patriotism and socialism, can the red country never change color.

History is never obscure and hard. The key is how to tell good historical stories. In order to spread Marxism well, we should not read from the book or pick out sentences, but popularize it. Similarly, to learn the "four histories", we must use more languages that the masses like to hear and can listen to, and build more platforms that the masses love to participate and can participate, so that history can reach the masses, the grassroots and the people. From the book recommendation and reading activity of "reflecting the great cause of a hundred years" to the special action of "looking for relatives for martyrs", from visiting and comforting old soldiers and comrades, to organizing the exhibition of excellent films and TV plays, the rich and colorful learning and education activities let the people "hear", "see", "practice" and "identify", will certainly stimulate resonance in the hearts of the direct hit people, and cultivate faith in empathy.

The study of "Four Histories" should ultimately be implemented in practice.
