At the beginning of April, Zhao Jia, assistant of the transport delivery section of a brigade organization of the 71st Group Army, was very pleased to receive feedback from officers and soldiers of the transport company. He said that the grass-roots construction is a dynamic process, which changes with the change of environment and conditions. The experience of one unit in helping to build must not be simply copied and mechanically applied to another unit. It is easy to backfire if empirical guidance is given by feeling.

Some time ago, Zhao Jia found that some young sergeants' professional skills were weak and there was still a gap in their actual driving ability when they were carrying out the construction of the hook in the transportation company. For this reason, he didn't have time to discuss with the cadres of the company, so he made training plans for everyone according to his previous experience, and ordered professional books as he had done for the repair company before and sent them to drivers for study.

After a period of time, the superior shall organize the driving professional skills assessment. Based on the analysis of the assessment results of the company cadres, it is found that the professional skills of the officers and soldiers have not improved significantly compared with the previous ones, and even some comrades are still in the state of "standing still". This result was unexpected by Zhao Jia, who was responsible for the construction of the linked gang.

"Why is the previous experience not working? What's wrong with it?" Zhao Jia reflected on the lack of work when helping Jian to run into difficulties. In order to find out the crux of the problem, he went to the platoon many times to chat with officers and soldiers.

"In any case, I can't guarantee the real car at half past one hour, so I can pass the skill assessment." During a chat, corporal Shen Xiaoheng's words attracted Zhao Jia's attention. So he followed this topic and talked with everyone. He found that there were several comrades who shared the same idea with Shen Xiaoheng. Why? Zhao Jia had a deep heart to heart talk with everyone to understand the story.

It turns out that when there is a need for support in daily combat readiness training, company cadres are used to selecting drivers with relatively long military service and rich experience to drive out. Shen Xiaoheng and other young soldiers are on standby most of the time, and most of them fight with old comrades.

"When encountering big tasks, we are often excluded because of our young age, short military service and little experience, so there are not many opportunities for practical training." Shen Xiaoheng said that the company's approach made him and his comrades in arms a little frustrated, and some even said simply that "good skills, as long as you stay old".

"It's not that the officers and soldiers can't practice their skills well, but that the company guidance is biased, which leads to the lack of internal motivation for everyone's training." When Zhao Jia found the problem, he was suddenly enlightened. To this end, he specially spoke frankly with the cadres of the company: "At first, I was eager to achieve in the face of existing problems. I did not have a thorough understanding of the situation and mechanically applied past experience to carry out work. The method was somewhat simple and the effect was not satisfactory, all of which were caused by empiricism."

To find the crux, we should also respond to the symptoms. On the basis of in-depth research and soliciting opinions and suggestions from officers and soldiers, Zhao Jia discussed with company cadres the solution: on the one hand, we should do a good job in ideological education, organize discussion and analysis around "strong skills in peacetime and good time use", and guide everyone to clear up vague understanding and strengthen correct ideas; On the other hand, we should change our working methods, give more tasks and burdens to young sergeants, create more opportunities for those with excellent quality to carry out their tasks, and guide them to improve and accumulate experience in their tasks.

On this basis, they also selected experienced backbones to carry out targeted guidance and help young sergeants carry out complementary training and specialize in refinement; Regularly carry out small martial arts competitions and competitions to further stimulate and mobilize the enthusiasm of officers and soldiers for training, and make a big ranking based on the daily training results, so as to establish the orientation of "strengthening skills, refining soldiers, and improving the ability".

With the implementation of a series of targeted measures, the company's officers and soldiers are invigorated, and their skills are refined at their posts. The atmosphere of learning and catching up is stronger. Not long ago, company officers and soldiers were preparing for the assessment organized by their superiors. After participating in the company war conference and training conference, Zhao Jia organized the backbone to set up a research group to solve the problem of urban road driving training, combined with practice to innovate the training auxiliary tools, analyzed the reasons for the existing shortcomings, and studied the group training methods. In the assessment, the morale of officers and soldiers was high and they went all out, and their comprehensive scores were significantly improved compared with the last time.

"One key opens one lock." At the experience exchange meeting on hook construction organized by the brigade, Zhao Jia shared his experience with everyone. He said that the actual situation of different units is different, so we must abandon empirical thinking when carrying out work, dialectically treat past experience and practices, make specific analysis in combination with the actual situation, and take targeted measures to solve problems, so that we can really help ideas and build effectively.
