The seminar of China News Award was held in Chongqing

With the theme of "consolidating and strengthening the mainstream public opinion and shouldering a new cultural mission", the event invited media representatives, experts and scholars from the national press to gather in the mountain city to summarize the creation rules of news boutiques and promote the news and public opinion work to show a new atmosphere and reflect new achievements.

The China News Award and the Yangtze River Taofen Award (hereinafter referred to as the "two awards") are the highest permanent awards in the national press approved by the central government. In recent years, a large number of weighty, distinctive and influential excellent news works and journalists with both ability and integrity, excellent business and outstanding achievements have emerged in the selection of the "two awards", which reflects the remarkable achievements of the development of the Party's news and public opinion work.

Liu Siyang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the All China Journalists Association, attended and delivered a speech. Some of the winners of the "Two Awards" and the judges of the 33rd China News Award made keynote speeches. The winners of the "two awards" focused on four topics: content production, technology empowerment, communication platform, and cultural construction, and took the award-winning works as the starting point to deeply explore the path, way, and means of news work innovation.

Delegates at the meeting said that the selection of China News Awards is not only an important platform to show the effectiveness of the work of the news front, but also an important starting point to play an exemplary role in promoting the high-quality development of news and public opinion work. We should adhere to the correct political direction and public opinion guidance, and work in the same direction and frequency with the cause of the Party and the state. We should constantly strengthen the "four forces", squat down, go deep and blend in, and improve the temperature, thickness and novelty of the works. We should actively use new media, new technologies and new platforms, strengthen the advantages of content and communication, and create more high-quality reports.

The event was jointly organized by the All China Journalists Association and the Publicity Department of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee. More than 200 people participated in the event, including representatives from relevant departments of the central government, Chongqing, news media and writers' associations all over the country, as well as representatives of the 33rd China Journalism Award and the 17th Yangtze River Taofen Award.
