Yesterday, the reporter saw the Notice on Requesting Certificates for Imported Fruit Juices and Imported and Exported Distilled Liquor on the official website of the bureau, which was signed on February 16. The notice said that for imported and exported distilled spirits, the importer and exporter should provide the plasticizer test report issued by a qualified testing agency when applying for inspection; If the importer provides a foreign plasticizer test report, it shall also provide the qualification certificate of the foreign testing agency 。

According to the notice, the above provisions are based on the AQSIQ Warning Notice on Further Strengthening the Detection of Phthalate Esters in Imported and Exported Distilled Liquor requirement.

The reporter learned that the bureau also informed importers and consignees of imported and exported distilled spirits on January 22 that the test results of phthalates in imported and exported distilled spirits should not exceed the temporary management limit from now on.

It is generally believed that brandy, whisky, rum and Chinese liquor belong to distilled spirits, most of which belong to spirits.

French media reported last week that three less well-known cognac brands (Remy Martin, Camus and Farabin) were intercepted at Shenzhen Port, China, before the Spring Festival, more specifically, the incident was related to plasticizers. Later, some enterprises argued that "China implemented new regulatory measures on domestic and imported food", so that the products were once detained in the Chinese customs, and after obtaining the inspection certificate, the products passed and returned to normal.

Yesterday, Remy Martin issued a new statement that confirmed that its products "fully comply with Chinese food safety standards", including the "newly proposed regulatory requirements" of Chinese authorities. The company also quoted a statement on the 5th by the French daily Charlotte, which reported the incident earlier, saying that the latter's earlier reports had been "misread" by the media.
