According to the latest Henan 2019 Coal Consumption Reduction Work Plan issued by the Henan Provincial Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Office, in 2019, the total coal consumption in Henan Province will decrease by about 5% year on year, and the total coal consumption will be reduced by about 10 million tons through "non electricity reduction and power supplement". "Reducing non power supply" means reducing 15 million tons of coal consumption in non power industry, and controlling the consumption increment of unified public coal-fired power generation units within 5 million tons to further improve the concentration of coal consumption.

The relevant person in charge of Henan Provincial Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Office said that Henan would ensure the completion of the above tasks by strictly controlling the access to coal consumption from the source and accelerating the elimination of backward coal consuming devices. First, in principle, the province will not add new coal consumption projects in non electric industries. If new coal consumption projects are really needed for industrial development and people's livelihood, coal consumption must be reduced and replaced.
