China Railway Express releases convenience lockers to help passengers solve the problem of restricted goods

China Railway Express launched a convenience locker to solve the problem of passengers carrying prohibited goods. Passengers only need Scan QR code , put the prohibited articles into the cabinet, and enter the order information to complete the mailing. China Railway Express cooperates with social logistics enterprises such as Shunfeng to ensure efficient operation. As of April 30, 942 convenient mail cabinets have been put in 153 stations in major cities across the country, serving nearly 160000 times of passenger mail. In the next step, we will continue to expand the scope of investment. By the end of 2024, more than 95% of provincial capital cities, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities specifically designated in the state plan will be covered, and more than 50% of prefecture level cities will be covered. It is worth noting that the new version of the Catalogue of Articles Prohibited, Restricted and Shipped by Railway Passengers will come into force on July 1, 2022, and the rated energy of a single piece of power bank carried by train will not exceed 100Wh.
