Apple Announces 2023 Supply Chain List: These Big Chinese Firms Are Eliminated and 8 New Firms Are Added

Recently, Apple announced its supply chain list for fiscal year 2023, adding 8 mainland Chinese companies. This list covers 98% of Apple's direct spending on global product materials, manufacturing and assembly in the fiscal year. It is worth noting that four of them were eliminated, namely Jiangsu Jingyan Technology, Meiyingsen Group, Shenzhen Derun Electronics and Yingshi.

It can be seen from the list that Zhenghe Group and Kaicheng Technology, which were eliminated in 2022, have rejoined Apple's supply chain. Despite the changes, Chinese manufacturers are still major players in Apple's supply chain.

At the same time, many of the new enterprises have started to cooperate with Apple since 2022. For example, enterprises such as Baoti, Jiuquan Steel and Zhongshi Weiye Technology have become important members of Apple's supply chain.

It is worth mentioning that not all enterprises in the new supplier list have committed to achieving carbon neutrality. Only Intel, Qualcomm, Microchip and Synopsis have not made such commitments.
