Philae is an island located in the Nile River to the south of Aswan Dam. Originally, there was a temple on the island. In 1902, when the British built the Aswan Dam, the island of Philae was flooded, and tourists could only watch the temple gate and stone pillars emerging from the water by boat.In 1980, the Egyptian government decided to transfer the historical sites on the island to another island and restore their original features. Before entering the temple, there are rows of small shops selling Egyptian handicrafts, displaying arts and crafts with Egyptian national color, which makes people stop to watch and buy.
