If macular pigment disorder is detected, further inspection is required to determine the condition and extent of the lesion and timely treatment.
Cup disc ratio of optic nerve in fundus examination The so-called cup to disk ratio is the ratio of the cup to the disk in the eye. The normal cup to disk ratio is generally around zero point three. If this ratio increases, especially if it is greater than zero point six, then we need to be alert. Further examinations should be carried out, with the emphasis on screening for glaucoma.
