This year's tree planting activity was divided into one main venue and 13 sub venues. More than 80 people, including the main leaders of the four groups in Xicheng District, community volunteers, primary and secondary students, fire officers and soldiers, representatives of university alliances, representatives of greening model workers, and garden workers, came to the "Changchunyuan" Park in Guangnei Street, Xicheng District to participate in the voluntary tree planting activity in the main venue. The forest leaders at district level went to 13 branch venues, including Beibinhe Park, Beishuncheng Park and CITIC Xiyuan Green Space, to participate in various dutiful tree planting activities.

At the exhibition stand of "Natural Notes" in Changchunyuan Park, the children, as "little green messengers", presented the on-site tree planting representatives with postcards depicting the fruitful construction of ecological civilization in Xicheng District. Later, all the participants planted more than 100 garden trees on the site, including cherry blossom, white pine, metasequoia, ginkgo, catalpa, weeping willow, etc.

Through the on-site issuance of a letter to residents in Xicheng, the reference table for the responsible form of voluntary planting of trees in the capital, the leaflet for the publicity of voluntary planting of trees in the capital and other promotional materials, the event called on the residents to "plant trees and build a garden city with their obligations"; At the same time, various kinds of flower seeds, environmental protection chopsticks and other promotional materials were distributed to the residents to stimulate the enthusiasm of the whole people to plant, love and protect green.

The Xicheng District Afforestation Office actively mobilized all street greening offices, Jicheng Landscape Group, district parks, horticultural post stations, social units and residents in the district to carry out various voluntary tree planting activities in accordance with the principle of "facilitating people nearby, innovating forms, and being responsible for diversity". According to statistics, 228 trees and 366 flowers and shrubs were planted in the district on the day of the activity 760000 square meters of green space was cleared, 36000 trees were nurtured, 102000 paper publicity materials and various publicity materials were distributed, and 98000 people participated.
