How about linode? Simple evaluation of cloud servers in Miami Data Center

linode Miami, the second largest city in Florida on the southeast coast of the United States, has deployed a data center to operate the cloud server business, with the same configuration and price as other data centers. Due to its unique geographical location, Miami is more suitable for business oriented to North America and South America, especially South American people prefer to cluster in the Miami data center... What about the Miami cloud server of linode? Whether it is suitable for the domestic three networks environment, please check the data of this evaluation, for reference only!

The cheapest and lowest configuration for testing, CPU, 7003 series, AMD EPYC 7713 (64 cores, 128 threads, main frequency 2.0GHz, acceleration frequency 3.675GHz), the webmaster has enabled BBR, supports IPv6, IP belongs to Miami, and the current I/O is about 1365MB/S:

Use the domestic three networks and multiple nodes to run a round of bandwidth uplink and downlink test. First, look at the daytime:

Look at the evening peak:

Run around the international nodes with speedtest to see the data:

Files stored on the test ECS can be downloaded from Guangzhou Unicom's Jiakuan direct browser at the following speed:

Let's look at the download speed of the evening peak:

Delay test of domestic three networks and multiple nodes:

Telecom journey: Telecom directly connects to the San Jose node, then transfers to NTT, and then connects to akamai's own network

China Unicom: directly connect to the Los Angeles Unicom node and then transfer to ATT

Mobile destination: directly connect to mobile Los Angeles node, and then go all the way to Miami machine room of akamai in the United States

Telecom return:

Beijing direction: take the TATA road to San Jose on the west coast, and directly connect to China from the telecom San Jose node

Shanghai/Guangzhou: Take ZAYO to Telecom's pop in Ashburn and Zayo, then go directly to San Jose, and then go directly back from Telecom's San Jose node

Unicom return:

Beijing direction: take level3 to Los Angeles and then go back to China

Shanghai direction: take zayo all the way to Los Angeles on the west coast and then go back to China

Guangzhou direction: take level3 to Los Angeles, and directly connect China Unicom and level3 at the peer in Los Angeles to return home

Mobile return trip: take zayo to peer in mobile's quinix machine room, and then go back to Los Angeles by CMI line

To sum up:

AMD EPYC 7713+NVMe, The performance is quite good. The minimum bandwidth allocation is 1Gbps for uplink, but 10Gbps for downlink;

On the return trip, China Telecom and China Mobile are basically directly connected to China from their nodes on the west coast, and China Unicom mostly goes back to China by international routes.
