Time value two thousand and twenty-four On International Women's Day, we interviewed four employees from the United States, the Netherlands, South Korea and Singapore. They spoke freely about their lives in Tencent and shared their methods of balancing work, family and entertainment. In addition, they also provide many practical suggestions for women in the workplace.

Q: can or can't Introduce yourself and your work in Tencent ？

Priya : My name is Priya , was born in India. I work in Tencent software Development work, working closely with relevant parties on weekdays to deliver internal automation tools.

Silvia : My name is Silvia , from Italy. I work as a legal adviser in Tencent, and my responsibilities include employment law, labor law and financial technology compliance.

Alvina: My name is Alvina ， Served in Tencent Asia Pacific Human Resources Team HR Project assistant. I'm from Singapore. My responsibilities vary, including assisting in setting up overseas offices, making employee data visualization charts, and handling employee relations.

Areum : My name is Areum ， He is a member of the South Korean business development team of Tencent Cloud and Smart Industry Business Group. You can also call me Alin 。

Q: Can you describe your life in Tencent with three keywords?

Priya: Efficient, busy and interesting.

Areum: Connection, self-development, family atmosphere. We are a mutually supportive team.

Q:  Please use three words to describe yourself.

Silvia: # Optimism # Curiosity # be full of go.

Alvina: # Curiosity # Sheep # Wolf. These labels represent my curious nature and my ability to adapt to and cope with various challenges.

Q: What advice do you have for women who are new to the career in science and technology?

Priya: Keep learning —— I recommend taking online courses. Many courses are either free or at a low price. Tencent America has an employee resource group specifically for women (ERG) 。 We will organize activities to invite successful women to share their experiences and give us suggestions.

Silvia: Effective communication, setting clear expectations, and valuing work and personal life are all important. It is important to set personal boundaries to maintain a happy and healthy life.

Q: Can you share your experience and achievements in Tencent?

Silvia: Working at Tencent encourages me to go out of my comfort zone. Therefore, I have made great progress in my work and gained a lot in my work and personal ability.

Alvina: My experience in Tencent is unique. During my transition from an intern to a full-time employee, the company provided me with a career development path of self exploration and growth into different roles. I was lucky to have mentors and colleagues along the way.

Q: What is your hobby ？

Priya: I like cycling and hiking. I arrange hiking every weekend. The key to career development and personal life going hand in hand is to make time for important things, such as having dinner with your family or walking with your lover.

Silvia: I recently started running again and will take part in the half marathon in The Hague. Running and reading are indispensable parts of my life. They can keep me in touch with the world.

Q: Do you have an example or life coach?

Priya: Former CEO of PepsiCo —— Indranui（ Indra Nooyi) 。 Her journey out of India and becoming a leader of multinational enterprises is very enlightening. She taught me that although it is difficult to achieve a perfect balance between work and life, the pursuit of leadership and excellence will never stop.

Q: What are your goals and aspirations in life?

Areum: I want to grow professionally, and Tencent is one of the global technology leaders, so I think it is very suitable for me. As a multicultural company, it has a rich working environment.

Alvina: I Pay attention to the integration of work and life, and attach importance to learning. I hope I have the courage to climb, live in the present, and enjoy my work and life wholeheartedly.

Q: It's International Women's Day. What would you like to share with Tencent's female colleagues?

Priya: Don't be intimidated by challenges or hard work. Take a long-term view ， You will be supported by the management and leadership. Seize the opportunity ， Try to become better.

Silvia: I hope that every woman can gain comfort and self-confidence through their own efforts. Use your ability to constantly seek a balance between your professional and personal life.

Alvina: I hope that every woman can accept herself, cherish and respect herself, and be down-to-earth.
