OBS acquires PSV sound signal when using udcd uvc to fetch stream

Due to the limitation of PSV hardware function and the influence of analog usb bandwidth and performance, the author of udcd uvc did not integrate the PSV sound output into the output stream. To get the audio stream, we need to do some extra work.

principle

The final signal to the speaker is an analog signal, and the current change caused by the vibration of the microphone diaphragm is also an analog signal. Therefore, the output sound can be collected by directly connecting the signal at the speaker to the sound source input or microphone.

The electrical signal at the 3.5mm headphone hole of the PSV can be directly used as audio output, and this electrical signal can be directly sent to the audio input port of the PC, so that the sound of the PSV can be obtained.

OBS can monitor multiple audio inputs, and we can attach PSV audio signals when taking video streams from udcd uvc.

course

  1. Prepare a slightly long 3.5mm male to male recording line. A treasure or Goudong has finished products, which are very cheap.

  2. Connect the PSV headphone hole with the computer's Sound source input Connector. It can also be plugged into the microphone connector without Audio in.

  3. Right click the OBS mixer to access the advanced audio properties, and then turn on the audio monitoring of the corresponding device.

  4. Turn on the PSV sound. If you can, you can hear the PSV output sound in the PC headset.

  5. If the PSV sound is turned on and all the current noise is heard in the PC headset, the USB power supply function of the PSV needs to be turned off. From the PSV main screen, select: Settings ->System ->USB power supply , remove the check of USB power supply.

Possible problems

  1. Monitoring signals are full of current noise
Please try to turn off the USB power supply in the PSV system.
  2. Unable to boot after installing the plug-in
Press and hold the L+power on key to start the PSV system without loading plug-ins, and then check if there are any errors.

  1. I'm a win10 laptop, and I can't find the place to input the sound source for a long time

Most ultra-thin laptop microphones and earphones are integrated jacks. The jacks are divided into four sections, including one ground wire, two left and right channels, and one microphone.
If you want to use a separate audio input, you can purchase a "single jack computer to dual jack headphone adapter cable" to separate the headphone jack from the microphone jack. There are many such things on Taobao.
