Snail interstellar slag version A single network port literacy and toss

Recently, a batch of snails and interstellar slag were sold on salted fish. Most of them were shipped to Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and the price was less than 300. To put it bluntly, this machine is equipped with an ultra-low X86PC, which can be installed with Linux or Windows systems, and has low power consumption. I bought model A at the price of 270 packages, and the next day the price of this model was reduced by 40 yuan.

It can be seen from the table above that the hardware cost of the host is not high.

• CPU and memory: The CPU is just like that, and the core display is also weak. The memory is an ordinary notebook d3 low-voltage strip.
• Hard disk: The 16G hard disk is really a mystery. It was delivered in January 2019, a new one. I measured the speed with a tool and wrote it to a maximum of 3MiB/s, which is slower than the hottest USB 2.0 USB flash drive. This piece of junk was removed and thrown away. Later, I replaced it with a 64G one in salted fish.
• Hard disk rack: The biggest advantage of the host is that it has four pull-out hard disk racks, which can be used as a small nas. However, the power supply of the host is very poor. I'm afraid that the four 3.5-inch hard disks will not explode, so it's better to change the power supply.

• Fan port : The fan has two three pin interfaces. In the bios, there is only the speed adjustment option of CPU Fan, but it is useless. The fan is still very noisy.
  I plugged in a temperature control board to connect the fan. The noise is quite low. The CPU is not very hot, so it's OK to plug in a deceleration cable directly. (It is said that the fan on the black motherboard is 4-pin and supports speed regulation. I don't have it in my hand. The details are unknown)
• SATA port : mSATA and the separate SATA on the motherboard are native and can boot the system. The remaining four SATA are for the hard disk rack.
• Internet port : Original thousand M, no need to solder 0 ohm resistance, no need to short circuit, I copy files through SAMBA up to 110MiB/s.

Usefulness and Triumph

1. Install the system

After throwing away the original 16G garbage tray, I found a 64G disk to install Ubuntu Server 16.04.

The steps of installing the system are the same as those of an ordinary X86 computer. It should be noted that if Linux is installed, it is better to set the startup type to android in the bios, otherwise there will be an embarrassing situation that you cannot shut down after the shutdown signal is sent.

2. Install Docker and panel

Docker is a special virtual machine, which can easily manage containers running different services.

Visit later http://ip:9000 , you can log in to the panel to manage the Docker container.

3. Install Docker function image (take offline download as an example)

Colinwjd integrates a download container containing aria2+aria2Ng, which can be installed directly.

After installation, visit http://ip:6880/# !/ settings/ariang, Fill in the key in the RPC tab. Refresh the page and prompt that the offline download can be started after the connection is successful.

Samba service

Samba service can share files between windows and linux.

After installation and configuration, you can directly access the folder shared by the virtual machine and copy or manage files in Windows Explorer.

4. Other functions

Many functions have an existing Docker image, which can be pulled down directly. If not, you can either write your own Dockerfile or directly install the corresponding software on the real machine.
I have installed MCwin10 server on it now, and I think it is OK.

summary

Although the performance of this gadget is not good, its price is low. It also has four hot swappable hard disk racks, and what kind of bicycle does it cost for 270 yuan! (The latest price seems to have fallen below 240, which is very painful)
