Getting Started

Before starting to use the new iPad, set up some basic functions.

Set basic functions

 The iPad lock screen contains "Earth" photos that fill the screen. On the left are the Clock, Calendar, Reminder, Weather, and Apple Pencil battery widgets.

Add personal style

The iPad can show your style, interests and preferences. Customize the lock screen, add widgets to the main screen, adjust text size, etc.

Make iPad your exclusive device

 The FaceTime call includes four participants. At the bottom left is FaceTime call control, including Speaker, Camera, Mute, Share, and End buttons. The caller's image appears in the small box at the bottom right.

keep in contact

The iPad makes it easy for you to keep in touch with important people. Start a conversation in Info, call FaceTime, and even watch movies and listen to music together.

Keep in touch with friends and relatives

 The iPad screen shows that "Front desk scheduling" is turned on. The current window is in the center of the screen, and other recently used apps are in the list on the left side of the screen.

 The "Create Child Account" screen contains fields for the child's first name, last name and birth date.

Set various functions for children

When you are sure that children can own their own iPad, you can create an Apple ID for them, add them to "family sharing", guide them to use the device through parental control, and set other child friendly functions.
